Hotel Afroditi

‘Small & Friendly’ is a term much used in the tourism industry, especially in Greece, but nowhere is it more true than at one of Roda’s, and indeed Corfu's, most popular & leading destinations, Hotel Afroditi.

Its location on the seafront, at the very heart of Roda village, sets the hotel apart from all others. The outstanding views across the Ionian Sea to the Balkan mountains beyond are outstanding, as are the stunning sunrises & sunsets visible daily from many of the rooms, bars & terraces.

Being family run, visitors enjoy the famous friendly atmosphere of the hotel so much that they return year after year to recharge the batteries. The staff has something of a reputation for being happy & helpful, not least Afroditi herself who runs the pool bar.
On arrival, you will receive a warm welcome and be shown to your spacious, light & airy room, all of which have refrigerators, air conditioning and safety deposit boxes available at a small extra charge. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, with bins emptied regularly, beds made daily and extra pillows if needed.

There is always someone on call in the reception area, in which there is a lift to the upper floors and from which there is access to the dining room, bar and delightful pool area. WiFi is available for those who need it.
The pool at Afroditi is very popular, being totally enclosed and yet so near to all of Roda’s amenities. The restaurants, bars, shops and beach itself are literally right on your doorstep. Nowhere is ever more than a short stroll.
The pool area is spotless and it has a built-in whirlpool and a superb poolside bar, where Afroditi prides herself on providing an excellent snack menu – her fresh fruit salad is something of a legend.

As close as Roda’s other businesses are, for many, there is no need to leave the hotel. Breakfast is continental style, or you can have an English breakfast cooked for you at a small extra cost. The restaurant area ,which also has a popular outside terrace, serves excellent traditional Greek dishes like moussaka or baked feta … even things like scampi and chips if you’d prefer. Nothing is too much trouble.

The quality and the price of the food in both the pool bar and the ‘taverna’ are excellent and offer real value for money. Anyone can eat at the hotel, but residents do enjoy a discount off their meals which makes it very affordable. In addition, there is a well-stocked cocktail bar with seafront view and Sky sports and movies for those who want to keep in touch. There is also an occasional Greek Night for visitors who want a flavour of local music and dancing.

All in all, Hotel Afroditi offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere,
good company, great value for money & stunning views.

No wonder so many visitors come back …
